Watching someone you love suffer from dental pain, or feel embarrassed about not being able to get dental care, can be a tough thing to do.
We understand how you feel, because we see a lot of patients who haven’t been to the dentist in awhile, sometimes decades.
In some cases, these patients contact our office to make a dental appointment. Other times, it’s someone they love reaching out to get them the dental care they need and deserve – husbands, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, mothers, fathers, friends.
If you know someone who needs dental care, please give us a call. A great first step for helping people get on track with their dental health is to just set up a consultation. We offer a free dental consultation and you’re welcome to come to the consultation, too.
In the consultation, we can talk about past dental experiences, fears and anxieties, general health concerns, and solutions for getting their dental needs taken care of.
We can also go over sedation options, which can be a great comfort to people with dental anxiety or fear.
Not many dental offices in the Phoenix area offer three types of sedation for dentistry, but our offices do.
We offer laughing gas, which can help lower people’s anxiety enough to allow them tolerate dental treatment. We can use laughing gas with all types of treatments and procedures, including dental cleanings.
We also offer oral sedation, which is also known as conscious sedation. This moderate form of sedation is administered through a pill, which is taken before the dental appointment. With oral sedation, the patient is awake, but less aware of the surroundings. Time seems to pass quickly, and after the dental appointment is over, there’s little or no memory of it.
Our highest level of sedation is IV sedation, which is also known as general anesthesia. With IV sedation, the patient is completely unconscious. Because of this, it makes it easy to get large blocks of dental work completed in a single visit. IV sedation can also be helpful for complex procedures, such as dental implants and wisdom teeth extractions.
These three types of sedation give us a lot of options in treating patients who really have a hard time at the dental office.
Also, we want to ensure you that our entire dental team is committed to providing each patient, each visit, with a positive, comfortable experience.
