If a dental office is in network for Metlife Dental insurance, as preferred providers, the office will charge you the lowest, “in network” rates for all dental treatments, procedures, and services.

Not all of the preferred providers in Metlife Dental’s PPO offer all of the types of sedation for dentistry: nitrous oxide (laughing gas), conscious sedation (oral sedation), and general anesthesia (IV sedation).

Metlife Dental insurance is one of the most popular dental PPOs in Phoenix. As part of the preferred provider network, a dental office will follow all of Metlife’s policies and also charge the rates Metlife has pre-set. By choosing one of Metlife’s preferred providers, you’re guaranteed the lowest rates. If you choose to go out of Metlife’s PPO network, you could wind up paying more for your dental care.

When it comes time to file your Metlife insurance claim, your chosen dental office will be happy to take care of that for you if they accept Metlife. You’ll need to pay your estimated co-pay and deductible at the time of service, and they'll then file your Metlife claim and wait for reimbursement.
